About Mental Health Matters
Mental health and well-being are important during all stages of life, from early childhood through to old age. The mental health of young Australians is declining in which disadvantaged populations are generally disproportionately affected by mental health-related issues.
Students from CALD backgrounds are particularly vulnerable to mental health disorders due to the community stigmatisation and poor adoption of help-seeking behaviours. So, our goal is to thereby promote the mental health and well-being of CALD students at the Australian National University (ANU) whilst providing a safe space for students to speak up in the absence of stigma-related fear.
